Description

White tea is a lightly fermented tea and a unique variety among Chinese teas. It is named for its silvery-white appearance, as the finished tea is usually composed of young buds covered with fine white hairs. White tea is one of the six major categories of Chinese tea.

Bai Hao Yin Zhen (Silver Needle White Tea), regarded as a premium variety of white tea, is produced from single tea buds through traditional white tea processing techniques. It is often known as the “Beauty of Tea” and the “King of Tea”.

White tea contains abundant natural active components, including polyphenols, vitamins (B1, B2, niacin, folic acid, vitamin E, vitamin K, and vitamin C), catechins, amino acids, theanine, and various minerals. Its content of active enzymes and antioxidant components is higher compared with many other tea varieties. White tea extract is widely valued in cosmetic applications for its skin-conditioning properties and its ability to help maintain healthy skin appearance.
