Camellia (Camellia japonica L.), also known as Camellia flower, small camellia, and “Haidonghua” in ancient Chinese literature, is an elegant traditional flower in China and one of the world’s famous ornamental flowers. It is praised for its graceful appearance and beauty resembling that of a young woman. Camellia is also a traditional Chinese medicinal plant.

Externally used for burns, scalds, and wound bleeding.
