Jojoba Seed Oil (Jojoba Oil), also known as Jojoba Wax Oil, is a natural oil extracted from the seeds of the desert shrub Simmondsia chinensis. Unlike conventional botanical oils, it is not technically a traditional “plant oil”; more than 97% of its composition consists of liquid wax esters, giving it unique properties similar to the natural lipids found in human skin.
